The National Parks and Monuments are indeed “America’s Best Idea”.  They have been set aside to inspire, nourish and restore mankind and indeed they do just that.  I highly recommend watching the new PBS special on our National Park system and it’s history.  I have visited many of our national parks and some are pictured here...those I’ve visited and been inspired by but are not pictured are  Kenai, Cascades, Glacier, Mount Rainier, Shenandoah, Mesa Verde, Grand Teton, Kings Canyon, Crater Lake, John Muir Woods, Guadalupe Mountains,  Sequoia, Heleakala, Great Sand Dunes, and Hawaii Volcano.
