I FIND TEAPOTS ARE THE MOST FUN TO MAKE SIMPLY BECAUSE THEY ARE SO CHALLENGING.
Spout, lid, handle, body all must work together aethetically—and finally, the teapot must pour properly!
Even when my teapots are very large—more sculpture than teapot—I want them to function.
They may be porcelain or stoneware, fired in an electric, gas, salt or wood-fire kiln for a variety of affects.
Every teapot that I make is one of a kind. They may be created in a series: willow handles, small (tea-
for-one) or very large (teapot-as-sculpture)—yet each has its own personality.
However, they all have one thing in common: long before I traveled in Japan and later in China, my work in in in clay was always Asian-inspired.

Following is a selection of my TEAPOTS. Measurements include handle: length x width x height.
