The Networks HistoryUnsión Television Network is a Spanish language media with family valued programming. It was established in 2002 in Cuenca, Ecuador. Unsión Television started airing in Cuenca on 27 April 2003. It was a local TV station until 16 December 2004 when they started on Nahuel 1 satellite covering all of Latin America and much of the North America. Unsión is now headquartered in Quito, Ecuador with operational offices located in many of the countries of Latin America and the USA. On the first of September 2008, Unsion is transitioning to Ecuadorian leadership. Mission: Unsión is a commercial communications company created to entertain, educate, and promote ethical values to the Hispanic community across the Americas. Unsión website (all in Spanish): www.unsion.tv The Counseling Center - Un Buen Consejo (UBC)Our counseling center, Un Buen Consejo (Good Advice), now has three locations (one in Cuenca and two in Quito, Ecuador), and altogether we are staffed with over 300 trained counselors! Each month there 60% of the people that call into UBC accept Christ. Since the start in 2005, there have been over 40,000 people who have accepted Christ. UBC is not there just for a one time contact on the phone. A lot of these people who are contacting them will call several times, or even go to the centers to talk one to one with the councelors. They hear about UBC through evangelistic commercials each half hour, 24 hours a day, or the website or even flyers that are handed out by teams. UBC also helps connect the people with churches or helping where they can in their lives.
