The Palmwood

The Palmwood Inn is perched on the ridge of a four acre estate overlooking the peaceful Moloa'a Valley located on Kauai's northeastern coastline.  The newly constructed Inn inspired by Japan’s mountain Ryokans (country inns) offers the discerning traveler an environment with the principals of

asian design that blends and harmonizes with the beauty of its natural surroundings.  It is an aesthetes’ retreat.

 

The Inn is elegantly and stylishly appointed.  Sumptuous leather and palmwood imported from Fiji's Pacific Green, furnish the Inn. Heavenly tempur-pedic mattresses adorned in fine pristine linens will have you melt in comfort.

 

Awaken to a glorious morning, joining your host and fellow guests on the main floor of the Inn for a cup of Kona Coffee and delicious pineapple coconut scones.  You might prefer scrambled egg whites with a sprinkle of fresh basil and melt in your mouth fresh local mangoes. It is strange, but the island has you craving for healthier and lighter food choices.

 

Explore the island.  Kauai is a unique place and those fortunate enough to experience the island recognize its infinite beauty, and the spirit it evokes.

The Inn is also a place to enjoy the day. Perhaps a massage on your private deck, or lounge in the hammock with spectacular views of the dramatic mountains with a book you’ve been yearning to enjoy.

 

Take a stroll to Moloa'a Bay, a crescent golden sand beach with turquoise waters is just down a meandering tropical country road (1.25 miles). Snorkel in our healthy reefs with vibrant underwater life.  This bay has many faces and moods depending on the season and the day, always beautiful.

 

Enjoy the evening "talking story" as they call it on island, with adventures of your day with fellow guests.  Throw on the fresh catch of the day you couldn't resist picking up from  Kilauea Fish Market on the outdoor grill. How about some organic greens with edible flowers on the side from the Inn's garden,  and of course a glass of that great bottle of wine you stumbled on at the local market. Finish off the evening encircled by a stream and falls, star gazing in your private outdoor lava rock shower.

 

Kilauea, Hanalei, Princeville and Kappa are all  towns easily accessible just a beautiful drive away for restaurants and eateries of every taste and

mood.
