Aunia Kahn is a hybrid mixed media artist, photographer, musician, writer and freelance designer. In creating, she often uses herself as a way to stay connected to her emotions, views and personal history, that affect her artwork. She builds characters, non-existent places, and dreams about them, executes them, and lets them breathe their own life in the visual world. Kahn’s work deals deeply with woman’s issues and is seen as a voice against domestic violence and spousal abuse.

Although Kahn has been creative at some level all her life, her career, as an artist did not officially start till January 2005 when she exhibited for the first time. With the support and receptivity to her outspoken subject matter she has taken the world by storm with a schedule of 94+ events from 2005 – 2007, where her work as been seen in across the States as well as Australia, France and Canada.

Aunia now resides in Illinois where she spends her free time with her 4 German Shepard dogs and 2 black cats in a little house on a hill.
