The Fresh Air Fund: Donate and change a child’s life forever!http://freshair.org/donate.aspxshapeimage_2_link_0

Since 1877, The Fresh Air Fund, a not-for-profit agency, has provided free summer vacations in the country to more than 1.7 million New York City children from disadvantaged communities.  Each year, thousands of children visit volunteer host families in 13 states and Canada through the Friendly Town Program or attend one of five Fresh Air Fund camps.
You can help by hosting a child, or simply by making a donation! You can also volunteer to help with other programs or behind the scenes.
I think this is an awesome program.  If you’ve got room in you home and your heart, I encourage you to give a child a taste of your life for a fraction of your summer.  If you can’t host a child, donate what you can, even if it’s just a few bucks, to help the program continue to enhance the lives of inner-city children.  After all, it is in giving that we receive!
