The public talks and weekend retreat are designed for people from all walks of life, from working professionals and small business owners to heads of households to students. The workshop offers both practical tools and innovative methods for economic success, as well as personal and professional well-being. The retreat weekend builds on the content of the public talks and includes workshops on Executive Yoga, meditation, karmic correlations, Q & A with senior teachers at meal times and small group consulting sessions.
Michael Roach is the author of The Diamond Cutter, an international bestseller about how he helped build a $250 million company, with profits aiding Tibetan refugees. Since his retirement from the corporate world, Roach has become a popular teacher and author, and travels around the world giving lectures and leading workshops and weekend retreat seminars for a wide range of audiences. Roach graduated with honors from Princeton University and received the Presidential Scholar Award from the White House. He spent 25 years in a Tibetan monastery, and was the first American to be awarded the Tibetan title of Geshe, or Master of Tibetan Buddhism. He is the founder of The Diamond Cutter Institute.
The Diamond Cutter Institute (DCI) was founded with the focus of helping others find personal and professional happiness by training them to use the tools of ancient wisdom to unleash their greatest potential. Ethics, service and compassion are at the heart of the DCI organization. Diamond Cutter Institute events regularly draw more than a thousand people. In the past few years alone, large crowds have attended DCI programs offered in Taiwan, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Singapore, Saigon, Beijing, Tel Aviv, Buenos Aires, Mexico City, New York City, Barcelona, Prague, Tokyo, Los Angeles, and many other cities. DCI also consults with businesses and just finished a consulting contract with British Airways in London.
