This tear-off is one layer of asphalt shingle over board.

Jim is working much faster than the two guys sitting and picking with shovels. The nails come up with the shingles when using the Demon. The other guys are having to go back after many of the nails. The recoil spring in the handle keeps the operator from feeling the shock of the blade impacting the nail shank.
