Pieces are built one at a time and made to the exact measurements and style desired by the client, and can take anywhere from several days to several weeks depending on the complexity of the design and type of wood used. Before work is even begun, much care is taken in the design and decision making process to assure that the piece will meet the needs and expectations of the buyer. Most pieces are custom designed to fit the environment they will be placed in, but if desired, designs can replicate classic furniture styles, such as shaker and craftsman.

Christopher Somerville has been working wood since the days of his early adolescence. He taught woodworking and shop safety as a camp counselor during the summers away from college in New England. He traveled south to Tennessee in 1997 where he worked in the film industry as a set carpenter, grip, camera and lighting technician as well as editor and director. He lives with his wife and two dogs in Nashville.
