Few creatures in the world can withstand
the extreme cold of the far north.
This is your chance to become one of them.
Experience the Real Alaska - at 40° Below Zero!
No visit to the state is complete until you’ve
discovered both summer and winter.
• Discover how animals adapt to severe cold
• Find out how homes and automobiles are
“winter-proofed”
• Learn what kind of clothing is best suited to
40° Below zero
Don a parka and prepare to enter the chamber we
have chilled to 40° below zero. Once inside, your guide explains why 40° below is such a special point on the Fahrenheit and Celsius scales. Activities include discovering what happens to hot water when it is thrown into the air, and finding out whether soap bubbles can survive the extreme cold.
Cherish the experience.
Also, have your picture taken and receive a certificate proving that you have earned bragging rights as a member of the 40° Below Club.
