Washington State is endowed with a rich nautical heritage built upon its lively ports of call, home ports and seaside towns that gave birth to the pervasive marine culture of Puget Sound.

Today's ports are characterized by peaceful towns Like Port Townsend, Port Hadlock and Port Ludlow, all in Jefferson County, across the Hood Canal Bridge on Washington's Olympic Peninsula.
