Welcome to the liber paganum. This site started out in the early 1990s as an effort to compile as much data as possible about the Gods, and it has reached a certain amount of usefulness as a quick reference.
However, since as of this writing, Wikipedia has articles on just about all the Gods listed here written by people who have much better access to source material than we do, the liber paganum is not going to be extended; the originally planned additions of references about the holy days and places and suchlike have been cancelled. For those who would like to look these things up, we recommend the use of Wikipedia.
We feel that the liber paganum can still be useful as a quick reference; therefore, we will keep it online for as long as we can afford to do so.
January 29, 2006: Because of the availability and quality of Wikipedia, the decision has been made not to duplicate effort any longer. liber paganum is not going to be extended, improved or, indeed, changed any further; we shall keep it online as a quick reference to the Gods, but for those interested in more information, we heartily recommend looking things up in Wikipedia.

February 13, 2005: After almost a year of absolutely no progress, something is finally happening again. While the search function is not yet operational, it's still in the to-do list for the next minor version number.
Currently, we're preparing data from a source we didn't get through yet and thinking of finally putting together a database; while we cannot use it for the website directly (hosting would be too expensive), it will allow us to offer link lists sorted by origin, name, function of gods. With over 5000 entries, putting it together might take a bit, though; we're assigning no target date, and no target release number.
The Innovations index is going to become more primitive so we can cut down on the time needed for upkeep and get more time into actual updating; there will be no more direct links, and no whats or whens, just a list of the entries updated and added.
