Our new house has a bunch of rose bushes along the house that have provided us with beautiful flowers on our table every day. My wife was told that she needed to prune back the branches in order for the plant to reach it’s full potential. So, she went to work cutting back the branches that seemed to long.

End times signs and prophecies

Recently, my small group got into a discussion on the end times. I went back and read Matthew 24-26 where Jesus describes the last days before his return, and I noticed some things that have put my perspective on prophecy and signs of the times in a new place.
 
Like many people today, the disciples themselves wanted to know what "the sign of Your coming, and the end of the age" would be.

While I was at a pastor’s retreat recently, I attended a seminar on grace, which seems to have become an all-too familiar and mundane word in Christian communities.
 
Yes, we are saved by the saving grace of Jesus Christ and his sacrifice for our sins. We know.
 
I think one could really spend their whole life trying to truly grasp and understand this saving grace.

As I completed my first year of full-time employment, this also coincided with tax season, and I had the chance to look at how much of my money was actually withheld for federal taxes. In the past I had never made enough to even bother filing, or there hadn’t been much taxes taken out. But now that I have a legit job, I realize how much of my pay goes to the government. So after a year down here in Loma Linda, we decided to move closer to the university and downgrade to a smaller place at the same time. This, combined with Easter weekend at my church, proved to be a very hectic and stressful time, which I still have not yet recovered from!
