TV Fast - Well, the NBA Finals ended last week, and I’ve already broken my fast on TV. I have been doing pretty well overall, but only by default (I’ve either been gone or too busy to watch). But I do have a spare moment, I’m too tired to do anything constructive like read so I’ve resorted to dumb entertainment on the tube. I’m looking to turn that around though. I feel an academic surge coming

Over the past year, I’ve had a few lunches after church for parents only, which has turned out to be a great thing. I’m finding out that raising a teenager is a tough thing, and although I certainly have no wisdom to share, I have been able to present some helpful resources and arrange for other insightful parenting veterans to share.

Obviously since I am “out for the summer” I also will feel a little more leisure time for blogging! So expect more posts!

I’d been hearing about it from various sources, a podcast I was listening to, an article here or there. But, I never really knew what it was about or why I’d ever want to get an account.

Now that I’ve completed all my graduation speaking duties (I spoke for Mesa Grande Academy’s 8th grade graduation and senior Baccalaureate service; and a church service in there as well!), not only are all the kids out for summer break, but I feel like I’m right there with them. There is such burden off my shoulders and I feel like I’m free again to pursue anything I want in ministry.

I’m baptizing one of my great student leaders this Sabbath, and I’m really excited about it, because I’ve really gotten to know him over the past year he’s been in the youth group (he’s a freshman), and he played basketball for me and I’ve played music with his praise band quite a bit. I can’t say enough good things about him.
