General Questions


Q:  Can we visit the facility?

A:  You are welcome to visit our facility Monday through Friday and Sunday 10:00am - 6:00pm without a reservation.  We ask that you call for a reservation if you plan on visiting on a Saturday. 


Q:  Can we meet with the wedding coordinator when we visit?

A:  The wedding coordinator is available by appointment only.  Please call to arrange an appointment.


Q:  What times are available for a wedding?

A:  Wedding times are determined by which package you are interested in.  Please choose a package, and we can then let you know what times are open on specific days.


Q:  What is the maximum number of people your facilities can handle?

A:  72 people including the bride and groom.  We cannot exceed this limit.


Q: Can we have attendants stand up with us, and flower girls and ring bearers walk with us?

A:  You are welcome to have attendants stand with you, you are welcome to have flower girls, ring bearers, ushers and fathers walk their daughters down the aisle.


Q:  What kind of ceremony do your perform?

A:  We perform non-denominational civil ceremonies


Q:  Can we alter the vows?

A:   The wedding officiant is happy to pause during your ceremony so that you can say your own personal vows to one another.


Q:  Can we have our own minister perform our ceremony?

A:  We allow outside ministers to perform wedding ceremonies with the purchase of the Orchid wedding package only.


Q:  Do we get a rehearsal?

A:  The Rose, Lilly and Orchid packages provide rehearsal time before the wedding ceremony.  The other wedding packages do not provide rehearsals.


Q:  Can we change when we arrive?

A:  The Rose, Lilly and Orchid packages provide time for the bride, groom and attendants to change on site.  All other packages require that the group arrive dressed.  All guests regardless of the package should arrive dressed.


Q: Can we have a reception at your facility?

A: We only offer wedding packages at our facilities.


Q: Can our guests throw rice after the wedding?

A: We do not allow rice to be thrown.  We do allow bubbles to be blown.  You will need to provide your own bubbles.



 


Reserving a wedding date


Q:  How do I reserve my date?

A: You may call or book online to reserve your wedding date.  Please know which package you would like to order when you are ready to make your reservation.


Q:  What kind of deposit do you require to reserve my date?

A: We require a 50% deposit for the package you would like to reserve.  This deposit is non-refundable.  We also require a signed contract.  The remaining balance is due two weeks before your ceremony.  Couples booking within two weeks of their wedding date will need to pay for their package in full at the time of the reservation.


Q:  What happens if I need to change my date once I have a reservation?

A:  We will work with you to adjust your wedding date based on our availability.


 

Chapel Questions


Q:  How many people does your chapel accommodate?

A:  The chapel can seat 66 guests.  We recommend no more than 4 attendants stand up with the couple due to space limitations


Q:  Is the chapel wheelchair accessible? 

A:  Yes


Q:  Is the chapel decorated?

A:  The chapel is decorated with silk florals in a variety of colors.


Q: Can we drop petals?

A: We allow silk flower petals to be dropped in the chapel.  We do not provide the petals.



 


Gazebo Questions


Q: What happens if we have a outdoor wedding scheduled and it rains?

A:  We will move you inside the chapel if there is poor weather during your wedding.


Q:  Is the gazebo decorated?

A:  The gazebo is decorated with silk garlands.


Q:  Will my dress get dirty?

A:  You are getting married outside, so your dress might get soiled.


Q:  Do you provide a runner?

A: Brown County Weddings Inc. does not provide a runner.  You are welcome to bring your own runner.  You will be responsible for setting up and taking down your runner.  Please bring stakes for your runner to stay in place.


Q:  Can we drop petals?

A: We allow fresh flower petals to be dropped at an outside wedding.  Please do not bring silk flowers for an outdoor wedding, as these can pollute our environment if they blow away.  We do not provide the petals.


Q: Are there places for my guests to sit?

A:  We have benches for your guests to sit on.




 


Photography Questions


Q: When are the pictures taken?

A:  We take photos during your ceremony and immediately following your ceremony.


Q:  Can I choose who I want in my photos?

A: During the photo shoot after your ceremony you are welcome to choose who you would like in you photos.


Q: How long does it take to receive my photos after my wedding?

A:  Your photos will take a minimum of 3 weeks to process and be mailed to you after your wedding.


Q: Can outside professionals take photos?

A: We do not allow outside professionals to take photos at our facilities.   Your friends and family are welcome to take photos.


 

Flower Questions.


Q:  What type of flowers are in the bouquets and boutonnieres?

A:   You have your choice of flowers and colors for your flowers.  We will need to have your choices on file no later than two weeks before your wedding.  The flowers are yours to keep.


Q: Can I add additional flowers to my package?

A:  You are welcome to add additional flowers to your package.  Please select from our A la carte menu.


Marriage License Questions


Indiana residents:  Please contact your own county clerk for any and all marriage license questions.
