Under Coach Duane’s direction the boys’ basketball program won four state championships and finished state runners-up five times between 1978 and 1996.
 
Coach Larry Hughes and the Lady Aztecs won four state championships in basketball and finished state runners-up two times.  Coach Hughes also coached the football team and the boys‘ golf team to one state championship each.

Facilities Continued In addition to Sammy Duane Gymnasium we provide our student athletes with an athletic trainer and physical therapy center, two baseball fields, Haskell Henshaw Stadium, fitness and weight training room, a secondary gymnasium, two softball fields, two practice fields, tennis courts, and a wrestling room.
