People in Need

I went to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Light The Night Walk in Santa Clarita last night.  It was a really cool event with a lot of sponsors, booths, things to do and music.  They raised a lot of money to help them fund research to help find a cure for Leukemia and Lymphoma.  The best part about the night was when I got to meet the Honoree of this years walk, 6 year old Tyler Cordova.  Tyler just relapsed and is going through chemo again and may need a transplant.  He is a really cool little kid and after I spoke at the event, I gave him my Hero of the Year award that I got last year.  I think he is a Hero for how brave he is and what a good attitude he has even while sick.  The City of Hope hospital held a marrow drive at the Walk and over 60 people joined the Marrow Registry there.  It really is simple to join, just a cheek swab and you could save someone's life.

Take a look at this article a friend emailed me today. http://www.newsday.com/news/local/ny-libone1812077732oct18,0,3723933.story

Finding a matching marrow donor may be the only hope for this man or other kids like Tyler and I. Please consider joining the registry and if you want more info you can email me at info@drivingfordonors.com
