Patrick got to spend some time with Patrick Dempsey at the Rolex 24 hour  race at Daytona International Speedway.  Dempsey was there driving for his race car team, Hyper Sport, and Pat was visiting his uncle Murray who works for Farnbacher - Loles, another race car team!  

 

January has been great for Pat!  He is doing well in school, feeling good and spending a lot of time with his friends.  It seems like he is making up for all the time lost while he was sick!  Pat was also notified last week that he is a finalist for the BR!CK Awards and will be going to NY in March for his face to face interview.  Thats really exciting because the BR!CK Awards are all about young people being recognized for doing good.  

 

We also found out that another matching donor might have been found from one of our drives!  That would be wonderful and we hope there will be many more.  

 

Now that it is 2008 we are starting to think about DRIVING FOR DONORS 2008 and what we are going to do.  Pat wants to include some international locations as well as continue drives in the U.S.   Fortunately, Pat now has hair so we don’t have any bald head space to sell this year so we will have to come up with a new way to raise the money for the tour and tissue typing.  Any ideas?
