I told myself that I would not talk about this, much less give it space in my blog. But the story shows few signs of dying, and I felt oblidged to at least mention it.
I can do a better job of covering this story than our badly broken elite Press, without anything but the cursory sound bites culled from the facts by agenda based reporters. Here it is:
During a quail hunt, Vice President Dick Cheney accidently shot Harry Whittington.
There it is. That covers the major points of the story. I am thankful that Harry Whittington has not suffered any major injury. As far as I can tell, he was hit in the head and chest with bird shot. The injuries were either fairly minor, or Mr. Whittington is remarkably healthy. He is 78 years old, and yet, it looks as if he will resume his law practice soon.
The Press, of course, is trying every angle to make this look like a deliberate shooting. Or a conspiracy. Or a cover up. Or a crime. I am sure that the general disappointment was deep when it became obvious that Mr. Whittington was not going to die.
This is just another in a long, long line of non-stories the Press has tried to convince us are important. It is further evidence of our the American Press’ obsession with their left-wing agenda. And the American people are waking up. It is made obvious by plummeting ratings of network news and shrinking circulation numbers for major newspapers. We, as a nation, are becoming tired of being fed rather than informed. The question is this– Will the old media wake up and go back to doing their job before they are irreversibly consigned to the dust heap?
