The Trip To Applecross

Great debate on how to get from South Wales to Applecross. Thinking about the long journey back we decided eventually to fly from Bristol to Inverness and hire a car so Chris could drive along Loch Ness and look out for monsters.
As it turned out the homeward difficulty would not have been the 3 days of exertion but the after effects of a great party. (Negotiation of Bealach nà Bà with a hangover is not recommended - especially as a passenger).
Never been in a Sea Kayak before so we decided to jump start our experience by going on a 3 day introduction to sea kayaking course. Mike Arkley of Mountain & Sea Guides provides such a course which includes: an overnight camp (Bonus said Chris); paddle strokes; rescue techniques, navigation; weather; trip planning and liver abuse.
