MY STORY I grew up in a small town in Southern Illinois, the only child of wonderful parents. Dad, a photojournalist, taught me a love for sports and music, and modeled for me the ability to relate to anyone. Mom, a schoolteacher, instilled in me a love for reading and a dogged determination to pursue God’s best for my life. Raised in church, it wasn’t until my teenage years, when my Mom battled stage 4 cancer (and won!) that I really began to do business with God, embracing Christ as Lord and Savior when I was 16. Only two years later I began preaching the unsearchable riches of Christ as found in His Word. While in seminary God graciously planted a beautiful young woman in my life whose radiant joy and tender heart toward the Lord captured my soul and I was blessed enough to convince her to marry me. Now we have four wonderful children (2 boys and 2 girls)and live in Jacksonville, FL. I am very privileged to pastor a wonderful group of God’s people known as Harvest Bible Chapel of Jacksonville.
