It’s good to be back in the saddle again. We were gone from January 2nd to February 7th. Considering that we left for Chicago right after the holidays, which isn’t exactly the time of year in which I’m in my typical routine, it seems like we haven’t been on a normal weekly schedule for ages!
I’d like to ask you to pray for us as the next couple of months are going to be very intense as we have a lot to accomplish in order to have a successful Grand Opening as Harvest Bible Chapel of Jacksonville.
Pray for a successful Grand Opening:
- For wisdom in handling the financial resources to ensure the healthiest possible Grand Opening.
- For our relationship with the the Regal Avenues 20 leadership (we move into the theaters on February 24).
- For more volunteers to fill some of the positions we need filled.
- For our “Vision Meetings” in March to add committed volunteers and financial supporters.
- For our people to be lovingly bold in inviting others to come to the Grand Opening.
- For our leaders to be prepared.
- For a harvest of souls to walk through the doors.
For a healthy first couple of years as Harvest, pray specifically for these God-sized goals:
- Staff expansion to 3 full-time pastors by mid-2009, by adding an Associate Pastor and a Worship Pastor.
- Secure “Ministry Center” for office space and meetings (not for weekend worship).
- Exceed $350,000 in giving in 2008 and $500,000 in giving in 2009.
- For favor with God and name recognition throughout the First Coast.
