My name is Deborah Davidson. I was born and raised in Japan, graduated from Washington University in St.Louis (Department of Asian Studies), and received an M.A. in Advanced Japanese Studies from the University of Sheffield, UK (School of East Asian Studies). My published and unpublished translations include the works of Hokkaido-based author Miura Ayako and the folk tales of the Ainu, the indigenous people of northern Japan.
