Donna Reid lived and sang in Europe for nine years under the name of Donna Sarley before moving back to the United States for the purpose of studying singing with Cornelius L. Reid. She came across his books and realized that his was the voice of reason when it came to vocal pedagogy. She entered his studio in 1993 and never looked back.
Not only did Cornelius Reid restore her voice, as he did with so very many others, but Donna had the great honor and privilege of being his wife and associate.
Donna is now a member of the vocal quartet, Amici Cantanti, which translates as Singing Friends. The group’s repertoire ranges from opera to musical theater to great American standards by composers such as Gershwin and Porter.
