Looking Good With Dad
Well, it’s time to start figuring out what to get dear old (or not so old) dad for Father’s Day on June 15th. You can pick the first thing that comes to mind OR you can use this as a time to really spruce up your appearances on your walks. Think about it....what are we out there for? Okay, putting the obvious aside, we are out to ‘see and be seen’, right? To get started, look in your own closet. What do you see in scarves, bandanas, and collar ruffles? Checks, denims, stripes?
How about a shirt
for Dad that closely
approximates the
patterns that you
wear? Pretty cleaver,
huh? Next, add a hat
with a picture of the
breed that YOU are on
it. Now we’re getting
someplace!
If Dad prefers T-shirts,
there’s lots of companies
that specialize in putting pictures of dog breeds or even a picture of YOU right on the shirt! Dad’s looking more fashionable already, don’t you think? On trips to the dog park or day camp, is Dad always wishing he had a few more hands? Try getting him a canvas carry all bag big enough to hold your water bottle, his water bottle, your collapsable water bowl, treats for you, snacks for him AND a frisbee! Have a picture of the same breed as you are or even your very own picture put on the bag. This list of ‘what to get Dad’ could go on and on. Clocks with your picture to remind him it’s time to go for a walk, my personal favorite - a golf club head cover that’s a dog that looks like me, a pillow with a picture of a your breed or YOU on it for Dad’s nap after a super long walk, and on and on and... You get the idea. Please remember, whatever you decide to give Dad, the most important thing you can do is let him know you love him.
