Many exciting things have happened this past year, my photo of Collie’s Chillin was shown at AKC Museum of the Dog in St. Louis, Missouri. My drawing of Jack Russell Terrier won BEST Entry Depicting a Terrier at the “Art Show at Dog Show” a National Juried exhibtion of Canine Art. Another of my photos, “Blue in Snow” was in national show also.
Got voted into Tulsa Artist’s Guild.
Busy healing up slowly from my 2nd broken wrist/arm. Doing drawings and paintings of many Dogs but more humans than one would expect.
Just got through doing the 2011 Art in the Square at Utica Square here in Tulsa.
Very tired will update more when I’ve gotten more sleep!

I broke my Wrist on Feb 4th!
Well have multiple fractures in the radial bone at the wrist. Fell in snow from Blizzard of Feb 2011. Left Oklahoma with 18” to 30” of snow, depending on where you were in the state. Some drifts in and around yard were 6 ft.
While my rascals were playing in it and loving it, I tried to shovel
18” of snow off steep driveway, not realizing Sleet was under-
neath . It was less than 2 years ago when I shattered the other
wrist and dislocated elbow, tore up ligaments, damaged all soft
tissue in arm and spent 4 months in therapy to gain full use back.
Fortunately this break has not yet required surgery or metal plates but in a very uncomfortable brace for the next few months.
Will be posting updates and more art, so keep checking back.

He is sorely missed and memories of his rambuncious youth live on in our memory and videos. Now He & Mookie can play together & never tire.

Welcome to the 8th edition of Dog Artist Podcast! Today our subject is “Clifford the Big Red Titanium Dog” that belongs to Kim & Willie Abrams who reside in Arkansas.
Clifford is a good friend to my dogs Molly & Mookie and
Clifford has been the subject of 2 of my pastels.
One where he posed with Kim and the other on his doggy bed. (Both Pastels are shown here and links are given to see more online.)
Shortly Clifford will undergo a 2nd Surgery for what Willie explains will be Tibial Tuberosity Advancement (TTA) (performed by Dr. Terry Dew) to repair his ruptured cruciate ligament (ACL). The titanium implant stabilizes the knee joint by changing the geometry and physics of the knee enabling it to work without the cruciate ligament.
We hope Clifford will recover quickly so that he and Newborn baby "JAKE" and Kim & Willie can come to GranMa Lori's for Treats!
Thanks for Downloading!
Lori Abrams Rauchwerger

©2007 dogsbylori productions

www.dogsbylori.com

http://homepage.mac.com/dogsbylori/Menu10.html
