EFCCM Japan Team Updates

  1. These Japan field prayer requests provide opportunity to pray for each of our EFCCM personnel in Japan.
  2. Laura teaches evangelistic English classes at three churches in the greater Tokyo area. One of them is the Kashiwa church planting project. Most of the people who attend on Sundays commute from a fair distance, thus placing most of the work of ministry on the shoulders of the church planting pastor. Pray that the Lord would raise up new believers who will be discipled into leadership roles in the church. And pray that Laura’s evangelistic English ministry might contribute to the growth and stabilization of the Kashiwa church plant.
  3. Kristy serves as one of the high school academic guidance counselors at Christian Academy in Japan, located in Tokyo. Ask God to continue to give her strength and wisdom in helping Christian high school students make choices in a manner which is pleasing to the Lord.
  4. Pray that the Lord will continue to use Gina in her church planting team ministry in Sendai to reach out to unbelievers and to encourage Larry and Bella Lo, her team leaders.
  5. Ann continues teaching her evangelistic English classes in Tomioka/Kanra in Gunma-ken once a month. Pray that the dozen non-Christian ladies in her class will grow in their hunger and knowledge of the Bible, and will eventually form a Bible study group.
  6. Dale and Ann continue their interim pastoral ministry at Tokyo Musashino EFC for a few more months while the church seeks a full time pastor. During this period, Dale and the church board are developing plans for a church planting project in Tokyo. The idea is that once the new pastor arrives, Dale and the new pastor would form a pastoral team tasked with both church planting and pastoring.
  7. Through November, Dale continues to teach theology at Japan Bible Seminary and Tokyo Christian University on a part time basis, one day a week at each school. Pray that his students will be encouraged to think theologically about their ministries so that they will be balanced and joyful pastors or missionaries.
