EFCCM Japan Team Updates

EFCCM personnel in the greater Tokyo area serve in evangelism, education of missionary children, church planting, pastoring, and leadership training.
Laura has served in Japan as a teacher of evangelistic English classes for about 15 years. She joined our EFCCM team in the fall of 2008 in order to continue her ministry, this time at the following EFC churches in greater Tokyo: Kashiwa, Kawaguchi, and Yashio. These three churches have formed a partnership with the EFCCM which is called Kanto Evangelistic English Program (KEEP). Kanto is the Japanese term for the greater Tokyo area.
For six months in 2007 Kristy served with the EFCCM in Nagoya as a teacher of evangelistic English classes. In the summer of 2008 she rejoined the EFCCM, this time as the academic guidance counselor at Christian Academy in Japan. CAJ is the major “missionary kid” school in Japan, serving many evangelical missionary families of Japan.
Dale and Ann lead the EFCCM work in Japan. They have served in Japan since 1984. They are involved in mission leadership, church planting, church strengthening, and leadership training. Their ministry is one of encouragement or empowerment, primarily using partnerships for ministry projects. To learn more about their Tokyo based ministry, go to their personal website: www.ritoru.net. Here is their purpose statement: The purpose of our lifetime ministry in Japan is to encourage BOTH the vision for church planting and strengthening AND the development of evangelical theology which gives rise to that vision.
