Swisstrace was founded 2003 in Zurich, Switzerland. It is specialized in the development and production of light-tight beta-scintillator systems for the high-speed measurement of radioactivity concentrations in animal organs. The scintillator systems have been continuously refined in a collaboration with the PET center of the University Hospital Zurich, where the systems have been in operation for 4 years. The development of the scintillator systems was a joint venture with the Centre Suisse d'Electronique et de Microtechnique SA (CSEM).
