  4. Bullet    Violence in Our Society, that Permeates Our Schools

  6. Bullet    A Violent nature that leaves people homeless and the lack of respect for life in general leaves people wondering how they can survive life.

Hope For the Nation is a 501(c)(3) organization which seeks to bring hope to those who feel discouraged and help them rebuild and restore their lives. Outreaches include humanitarian aide, educational programs in churches and schools and conferences for women and concerts, providing significant encouragement and hope.  During the event, volunteers from participating organizations begin one on one sharing time. Women are given a free hair styling from licensed beauticians. They may also choose to have a manicure, a facial and a walk through the Boutique. At this time, they receive a new outfit (including shoes and jewelry). Volunteers will oversee a day camp for the guests’ children. This provides an opportunity to introduce compassion to the children through various forms of children’s time, such as skits, puppets, clowns, and games. Children are provided care from infant through  12 years of age. All queens attending A Queen for a Day are graciously treated to a banquet prepared by the participating organizations.
