my favorite French treats
Flaky, warm croissants.
Macarons - the most heavenly cookie.(best are from the tiny pâtisserie Pierre Hermé in Paris)

Freshly made crepes, oozing with nutella from a street vendor in Paris
Une noisette (shot of espresso with little bit of steamed milk)
Fois gras - try it on a crusty baguette - wonderful!
My favorite hotel
Hotel Diderot, Chinon
my favorite experience
Staying overnight on Mont St. Michael - after all the tourists left.

Welcome to my France scrapbook 2007.  Follow along with me as I relive my adventures in Paris, Normandy and the Loire Valley.  I hope I can convey the beauty, charm and awe inspiring highlights of this region.  This was my fourth Rick Steves tour...and I must say...it is the only way to travel!  I knew that this tour would be a great mix of guided activities and free time.  I was right to put my trust and travel dollars in the hands of Rick once again.  Kristen was an amazing guide.  And what can I say about France....I fell in love all over again.  From the solemn beaches of Normandy to the serene gardens of Giverny, to the mystical island of Mont St. Micheal and the posh cafés of Paris; I experienced “wow” moments around each bend in the road. Allons-y! Let’s go!

Bienvenue! Welcome!
