Since 1975, David Morgan has been creating competitive casting tools for New York professionals; he has photographed over 14,000 performers. He began his career as an actor photographing fellow actors. His reputation for providing a thorough, consultation based service from an actor’s point of view soon established him as a leading and innovative player in this ever more critical specialty for professional performers. Today, he is recommended by the networks, top agencies, managers, schools and other industry professionals as one of New York’s preferred specialists in this highly competitive field. In 2001 he was the featured expert in a national TV segment on ‘how to break into soaps.’ During the past 10 years his career has expanded to many areas of commercial photography; celebrities, advertising, packaging, magazine covers, fashion & editorial, travel, architecture and fine art. St. Martin’s Press has published two of his books. Posters and greeting cards of his art have been published and sold around the world. In 1993 he produced and directed Charles Busch in Dames at Sea.
