NEW YORK’S ONLY ALL INCLUSIVE HEADSHOT STUDIO
First, we sit down as a creative team (you, David Morgan & stylist) and we let you show us your wardrobe. We review your past headshots and discuss your new goals. We review your image needs and determine a shooting strategy for each look, and how to best convey your entire marketable range during the session. We plan a ‘hair’ strategy for women to match the progression of make-up changes which will follow from clean to upscale. Men might start with some facial hair that can be removed after the first couple of set-ups. This creative meeting puts everyone on the same plate.
Most importantly, we make a LIST of every shot you desire from your ultimate headshot session and then we set out to create them. One by one. It’s methodic, structured, sensible and always successful.
This creative meeting is followed by an hour to 90 minutes in the chair as you are readied for a color digital session.
Color digital is very different than film and an artist must provide a product line suitable for this new medium. The work here is critical and David never puts a time constraint on his artists. For women, it’s all about hair and make up. While you’re getting prepared for the camera your wardrobe undergoes finishing. All the items selected for use are steamed or pressed as needed.
Then after you get into your first wardrobe and before hair is addressed, we put you in the light and shoot some test shots for immediate review. During this initial light test David will rehearse you on camera. In some cases he even switches places so you can see through the lens and watch him demonstrate effective techniques for working on camera. On the computer your make-up is closely scrutinized and lighting choices are reviewed or revised. Any adjustments needed for the makeup are addressed and then it’s back to the chair for hair and final finishing before the first set up is underway.
This process is repeated through out the shoot until every goal has been met. And you get to review this process on the computer through out the entire session.
Within two days your entire session is posted on a private webpage which you can share with your representatives, friends and family. Prints and retouching can be ordered online as well.
VIP clients also receive retouching services by David Morgan. TWO final print scans are provided. Additional retouching by David Morgan is available upon request.
