“Arriving to your studio session with clear goals and thoughtful wardrobe choices brings more bang for your buck.”  David Morgan

Up and coming actor CHRIS RIGGI, first referred to me in July 2005, was still in his teens.  He dove into the NY scene with tremendous drive.  As his boyish looks continued to mature toward ‘young leading actor’ he has responded to those changes with regular headshot updates: new goals, a more refined sense of his marketing strengths, and constant fine-tuning to his current casting tools.

Most recently, in July 2007 after a recent screen test in Hollywood, he called with a new set of goals and came to the studio, for his 3rd booking with me, with a rigorous shooting strategy culled from tear sheets, actor websites, film stills, and a carefully planned wardrobe/accessories plot for each shot.  In one afternoon we nailed every image he sought (see above) comprising studio light, ambient natural and location set-ups both in my studio and down in the meat packing district.  It’s not uncommon for Chris to call me for a sudden reprint from one of his shoots which targets an imminent audition. He’ll have three or four affordable glossy prints made at a color lab near my studio --in one hour-- for the submission.   This kid is on it!

Chris tells me he is already planning his next session for 2008.

Arriving to your studio session with clear goals and smart wardrobe choices brings the most bang for your buck...

From an actor to other actors...

If you want a headshot, don’t go out and get A headshot--get a David Morgan headshot.

No one is more qualified, more generous or more professional than he is. To go to anyone

else would already be a step in the wrong direction...and as an actor, you need the right steps.

David is not just a photographer who snaps your pictures and kicks you out the door

for his next client. David takes a great deal of time and patience with his work in order to

achieve the right look for you. It is YOU that is important in David's session. David has a

one of a kind technique. No other photographer will stand in your shoes and let you

look through the lens.  The best photographers for actors are the ones that have been actors

themselves.  He knows just what to say in order to get that perfect shot.

Simply put...I have an agent because David's photos opened their door. I got my SAG card because of David Morgan.  The headshot, in basic terms, is your face before and after the audition. You could have the best audition of your life, but the headshot is what stays on their desk. If the headshot says nothing... you may hear nothing.

Be prepared when approaching a headshot session. Take a look around on IMDB or at your fellow actor's headshots. See what the industry is saying a good headshot is. Make choices and decide for yourself what shots you need and David will be sure to get them for you. He will make any shot happen. Outside shots, Inside Shots, it doesn’t matter.

Don’t go anywhere but to him.

David....Thank You.
