David Morgan began shooting headshots in New York in 1975

As a former actor, he created his techniques from an actor’s point of view. He always rehearses and directs actors before his sessions begin. Now, with digital we can review that work instantly!
He has photographed over 14,000 actor’s headshots and, today, he is recommended by the networks, top agencies, manager and schools as one of New York’s preferred specialists in this highly competitive field. His sessions are fun, relaxed, thoughtful and process oriented.
Capturing the real you, looking your best, while clearly defining your authentic casting range is his primary goal. He understands the crucial role this image plays as a ‘casting tool’ in your career and works with you to achieve all your goals for your new headshots. Whether you are a beginner or a pro, each session is catered to your needs.

In 1997 the New York Public Library requested several collections of his work for the institution’s permanent collection.
