Here’s an invitation. Walk through the door. Come with me as we drive into the sunrise, stopping to explore circuitous roads along the way and making the time to talk to people like you and me as we drive east from New Mexico across the United States. But who am I? I’m a journalist. But for the first time in my life, I have time to ask questions and listen to the answers without a deadline. Why is this important now? I’m curious to know what Americans are thinking at this juncture in our history. For many of us, these are difficult, confusing times, often leaving us feeling helpless. Some of us are homeless. Some of us are hungry. Some have no access to health care. Some folks don’t have the money to send their children to school. That’s why it’s important to listen to your stories. Touch your dreams. Write them down and record them. This blog accepts your brief comments as well as your chance to post a photo. Write to me, if you’d like. I’ll be writing to you. You may write to me at dkusel@mac.com
