Kyler went to the endocrinologist to get a check up and he has grown 3/4 of an inch and gained a little over two pounds since his last visit in October.  His levels are not quite back to normal but have improved since his fall visit.  We’ll keep working on trying to help his body resume normal production of hormones but we’re not sure we’ll be able to do it all naturally.  We will visit the endocrinologist again in three months and see how things have changed.

Kyler is getting baptized in a few weeks.  He is really excited about it.  When asked why he wants to get baptized he said, “Because I always want to be a follower of God.”

Lincoln’s Relay For Life is this weekend.  Kyler will again be a part of the opening ceremonies and walking with the other cancer survivors for the first lap.  Sandie and I have been asked to participate in the luminary lighting service in the evening on behalf of pediatric cancer.  It’s so incredible to see so many people in our community that have supported us through these past two years!  Thank you all so much!

Kendrick turned 10  years old and got  Rock Band for the Xbox 360.  It’s so much fun!  The biggest part about it is that Sandie will actually play as the singer (she’s quite good).  Kendrick loves to play the drums and Kyler usually does bass with me on guitar.

In July Kendrick has the opportunity to take a very special trip with his grandparents (Haskins) to go to Washington, D.C., upstate New York, and a number of other historical sites.  He’ll be gone almost a month, but he’s going to have a blast.  He will fly back east with his grandparents, but will fly solo from Atlanta to Sacramento for his trip home.

We’ll keep you posted when the next MRI comes around.

Peace

Darrell
