November 4, 2008 was a day that all history will reflect as one of the most unlikely scenarios in history until it actually happened.  Sen. Barack Obama was elected President of the United States by a landslide victory over Republican nominee Sen. John McCain.

The Capital Outlook has developed this site to keep up with the coverage of the events leading up to and including the inauguration.

Capital Outlook photojournalists Vaughn Wilson, John Matthews and Juan Moore will be in Washington D.C. for the on-site documentation of the inauguration and MLK Holiday ceremonies.  Outlook Sr. Reporter Stephanie Lambert will travel with the FAMU Marching 100 to participate in the Inaugural Parade.

Outlook publisher Roosevelt Wilson and graphic designer Van Wilson will have continuous contributions via editorials, graphics and blogs about the inauguration of the 44th President of the United States of America, and the first African American, Barack Obama.
