I got little done yesterday . . . unless conversation counts.
Several of the regulars were here: Bobby doing his sculpting, Gordon “the Butcher” selling insurance, and Tyler and Helen our student ministers. Roy bought a bus pass and came by to hang out all afternoon. Rita baked some lasagna that we polished off for lunch and she worked to clean up the kitchen. Brian stopped by and regaled us with stories of his adventures. Ken joined us in the afternoon, and Ernie got back from work around that time too.
Did I leave anyone out? Oh yeah, three kids came by from the apartments, and Tyler took a backboard and hoop that had been given to us some time ago to repair the basketball court up at the apartments. They were starting a pick-up game when we left.
Most of the time the Mission of God is about conversation and relationship more than accomplishing tasks.
