Sneak-Peak at Beta 1.5
Greetings everyone! I have been taking way too long to complete Beta 1.5, so I thought I might tell you what it’s about. I’m working as fast as possible to finish it, and I’m sure you’ll be pleased with the update when it’s available.
New Features
There are two new features that are going to be in this update: an all new Filter Bar and an all new Controller. The controller is nowhere near ready, not even for a screen shot, so I’m going to concentrate on the Filter Bar.

Yes, that shiny new blue Filter Bar is replacing that dull, little thing that was there before. The one before was actually one of Apple’s interface controls, so it was pretty limited. This one is my own creation, made with the goal of making Mac applications look beautiful. It was also made to incorporate all the different new categories that JapanesePod101.com is making, so if your window is too small, two arrows appear at the right and left of the bar allowing you to scroll through all the categories and select the ones you want. I also added a snappy little animation, but you’ll have to wait until this version is available for download before trying that feature out...
Bug Fixes
Along with the update shown above, I also fixed a small bug with the Kanji/Kana Close-Up shown bellow. The first image is from Beta 1.4, and the second is from 1.5.
