Helen Dilley Barsalou, national award winning watercolorist lives and paints in Annandale, VA. Formerly an art director for a design studio and a research and development firm her paintings now are primarily watercolor and water media/collage. They range from loosely painted landscapes and florals to semi-abstracts. Her work recently shows a greater interest in rich, bright colors, but her primary goal is always to develop a strong design and create a mood. Her work hangs in corporate, public, and private collections throughout the country.

Helen taught watercolor for Fairfax County Adult Education, and collage for The Art League in Alexandria, Virginia. She frequently gives demonstrations for various art groups. She exhibits with Gallery West in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia, the Art League in Alexandria, The Art Center in Vienna, VA, Strathmore Hall in Rockville, MD and with the numerous art organizations of which she is a member. They are: Potomac Valley Watercolorists, Virginia Watercolor Society, The Art League, Springfield Art Guild, Vienna Art Society, Washington Water Color Society
