This is a local broadcast of me catching a Florida record 686 pound Great White Shark off the Florida Keys in the late 1980s. 

My thanks to my friends Mark Olson (and his Dad) and Eric Rosenfeld for their help in landing this giant. We caught this on the Carib Sea out of Islamorada with Captain Dave Day and his then-mate Dave Morris. What a fun time and a really funny news account. If you listen carefully at the end, you can hear me say after hugging Captain Dave, “Thank you God in me”
