In 1993 as a reaction to the lack of homegrown groove-induced music, David Bickley Formed Hyper[borea] as a springboard for the fusion of dance, tribal & traditional elements in Irish music. Early recordings were mutations of ancient Gaelic melody & song, fused with grooves & textures while still maintaining the Celtic core. We have continued to the present day and have branched out to include remix projects featuring Clannad, Aoife and Cornish singer Julie Elwin.
