Spend a week in Hawaii painting from several locations on the Big Island of Hawaii. The gallery/studio is located in an area with waterfalls, streams, scenic overlooks, ocean views, floral and fauna, as well as a tropical garden near by.

    The class will include 3-4 hours of instruction daily & unlimited free studio time, Monday thru Friday. Saturday you may take time to explore other parts of the island (on your own time).

    Media is watercolor unless you indicate that you would prefer to work in oil, acrylic or some other media.   

    Demonstrations will include composition, drawing & sketching in preparation for the painting, as well as painting technique.

   Wednesday we will take a day off to visit the local market which features fresh local produce as well as arts and crafts.

     Cost for one week is $450.

   

Accomodations in the studio/gallery feature a room with a beautiful ocean view and north light. There is an outdoor shower. Breakfast and lunch, consisting of fresh fruits and vegetables are included. cost for 6 days:

$300.

Or you can do the workshop and find your own accomadations in Hilo, 10 min. away. 

Attendants must bring their own supplies but I will be glad to provide suggested list. If working with oils, I would suggest using only water soluble oils (made by Windsor Newton). I can provide pickup at Hilo Airport.
