Variable Velocity Performance Group is a professional non-profit dance company directed by Diana Stanton and Jude Clark Warnisher, that highlights the work of and about movement artists in San Luis Obispo, California. Focusing on contemporary techniques and modern dance as a Fine Art, we challenge ideas about the possibilities of dance, who gets to dance, and where dance happens. We provide high quality performances and educational resources for movement arts with an emphasis on meshing movement disciplines, styles and varied artistic mediums. Our performances include not only dance, but also text, visual art, live music and film. We also hope to be a civic resource, inspiring broad participation in art as a path to understanding, community development, personal insight, and healing.
