Walden is the only K-12 public Montessori School in Utah. Our elementary program offers Montessori curriculum coupled with a deep commitment to peace education and authentic learning experiences.
Our secondary program combines the Montessori philosophy with service and expeditionary learning to create a unique program dedicated to preparing students for higher learning, civic participation and a fulfilling life.
A liberal arts education provides a balance of science, math, language arts, fine arts and humanities, emphasizing literacy and critical thinking skills.

Mission Statement
Walden is a place where social, emotional and academic growth are valued equally, a place where students see possibilities, make meaningful choices, take risks, and emerge with a stronger sense of identity, belonging and purpose. It is a place where critical thought, creativity and independence are nurtured; where empathy, cultural awareness and tolerance are valued. We champion student choice and autonomy, authentic research and project work. Our mission is to develop competent, self-motivated learners dedicated to making positive contributions to society.
