West Holt FFA members traveled to Ogallala on September 30th to compete in the State Range Judging contest and came home the champions in the senior division for the third year in a row. West Holt’s junior division was led by Abigael Olson who finished in 3rd, along with two other top ten finishers Jessica Pease (7th), and Wesley Cole (9th). Team and individual results in the junior division included 4th place team of Abigael Olson, Wesley Cole, Matt Laetsch, and Cole Gibbens; 6th place team of Jessica Pease, Danial Frickel (19th), Cole Neibauer (29th), and Marcus Marcellus; and 7th place team of Brett Pacha (12th), Jennifer Poessnecker (21st), Kyle Friedel, and Dylan Liable.
The state range judging event also features two categories of competition for adults, the professional division for agriculture instructors and the adult division for any other interested adult.
