If you’ve been one of the few folks that have been checking back over the last few weeks, sorry for the long delay in updates.

As last noted, we were off to NY for the holidays. It was good to see family after so long a time — and eat some of moms home cooking. And of course, great to reconnect with friends we were fortunate enough to see while we were there. Apologies and regrets to those we missed, it wasn’t from lack of wanting. On a sad note, my cousin Connie, and my great uncle Willie, both passed away over the holidays. They both will be missed dearly.

Christmas Eve at my brothers, and Christmas day at my parents’ home were grand. My nephew Matthew seems to grow a foot or so each year. At 16, he’s now the tallest Forzano in the family. Matt’s really developed his skills on the guitar, and has far surpassed his uncles’ (his inspiration, I’m proud to say) long faded skills. My other nephew, Jake, is a bit smaller, that is, sans tail, but despite being grayer and bit more grumpy old man than puppy, still has a great personality.

Though it’s two weeks already, Natsuki and I are just settling in after being away. I’m not sure what causes such things, but we had a rash of misplaced items. Packing for NY we came up a hat (Natsuki) and umbrella (mine) short. Leaving NY we found ourselves short a hat (mine) and gloves (Natsuki). To top it off, I lost my jacket somewhere between the exiting the plane in San Jose, and getting out of the cab in front of our apartment. Not to mention that 120 photos I deleted…

Natsuki loves her new Canon G9, and I hope to post some of those photos soon. We’ve yet to try out the new external flash - maybe this weekend.

Well, I think that’s more than enough update. Let the ranting resume…
