Bill's vision has helped to reestablish the migratory path of one of the world’s most endangered birds; the Whooping Crane.  Bill’s direct efforts and creative imagination literally brought the birds back from the edge of extinction.
Do you remember Bill Lishman?  He is the Canadian inventor and artist whose life story inspired the movie Fly Away Home.  This is the movie where Bill’s character teaches Canada Geese to follow his ultralight aircraft and leads them to safety in Georgia.  The movie was nominated for an Oscar, however the true story behind the film is even more dramatic.
Now Bill Lishman has turned his attention to humanitarian applications of ultralight aircraft. Bill has developed an ultralight that can deploy 200 lbs of cargo and intends to drop aid supplies to victims of disaster in the hours directly following the catastrophe.   How does he intend to do this? Explore this website to find out how, as well as why Air First Aid is a simple solution to existing problems faced in modern day relief efforts.
