On September 29th 2007, Air First Aid pilots staged a mock disaster scenario along with John Mealin of Anvil Technologies .
For the duration of the exercise Air First Aid rescue aircraft were outfitted with RECoN wireless access points, satellite antennas and wireless cameras. The equipment was deployed using the drop mechanism on the rescue ultralight aircraft. It was set up by a first time user on the ground so that the communications system was operational within minutes.
