On the north side of Molokai lies the wild beach of Mo`omomi. Wind and crashing waves are its hallmark coupled with an extraordinary view down the northern pali. This dawn photo was shot at a slow shutter speed with the camera on a tripod. As a result, the background of the cliffs is sharp but the sunlit waves in the foreground twist and blur in the morning light almost looking like liquid lava.
